Location and Operations 

Katoro Refinery is located in the Geita Area of North Tanzania, 100 miles west of Mwanza International Airport, enabling refined gold to be flown anywhere in the world.

We buy processed ore containing gold from a number of local processing companies serving the Artisan Mining Population of Geita where over 10,000 ounces of gold are mined every month.

We have a management team comprising qualified and experienced chemical and processing engineers

Our secure 32 acres site is guarded 24/7, with both onsite and remote electronic surveillance. It includes:

• A State of the Art Laboratory with capacity for 6 individual refining units each capable of refining gold to 99.9% purity at a rate of 3,500 ounces per month.
• Sub-subterranean Gold Storage Vault encased in bomb proof walls.

All our stock is fully insured.
